SSG Pabon,

I think the days of accidentally hacking into very secure systems are pretty much behind us (the "War Games" days).  Today's hackers are 100% sure of what they are doing and have specific goals and information they are either looking to gain access to or are looking to manipulate.

Anything connected, in any way, to the internet is vulnerable to hacking and compromise.  Even systems that seem "isolated" are not necessarily secure.  Take a look at what happened in Iran with some of their nuclear enrichment facilities.  That was no accident and it was an attack against an isolated network.  If it happens to them, it can happen to us.

I appreciate the comments and conversation!  Thanks!

My major is security risk analysis, so my job line is anti hacking. I won't be in the work force for another 2 years, but I look forward to either starting my own business. Or working in the private sector for a security team.

Korea.  I know that they have been rattling their sabers for ages, but the economy and standard of living are steadily going downhill.  Great Leader Jr. has to do something if he wants to survive and continue to lead his country.  He cannot go North and take on his mentors in China and that only leaves a full invasion of the South.  As he continues to tunnel under the DMZ he will eventually have enough troops under it and in the South to launch a full invasion.  So, Korea is my choice.

I'm inclined to agree with you MCPO Treants, JR. is not to be trusted. The Korean war is not over but the fighting did stop at the 38th parallel ( AKA the DMZ). Israel could also be another staging ground because Israel, has been under attack and the US supports Israel. But should Israel get attacked and get the US to help, this might give the Great JR a chance to act on south Korea, and here the US might find themselves in duel conflicts.

Question is with the down sizing of the armed forces, I can say the casualty rate will be very high until the US picks up it's man power again. I think every one that has served a tour at the DMZ (physically for 90 days) , will tell you in an invasion, they are there to fight to the death.

I fully agree that Israel is a place where anything can happen. It is and has been a war zone since 1947 and none of her Arab neighbors have been happy since the UN and United States recognized Israel as a country.  Having said that ...
N. Korea and Jr. Still Concern me the most.  Primarily because the current and any administration run by the Democratic Party is more concerned with Social Programs (and I am also a retired Social Worker - as well as a retired Master Chief) that they are with the primary reason for the establishment of the Federal Government - the Common Defense of the United States.  The major reduction in Defense is another concern all Americans are ignorant of expressing to their representatives.

Korea is a high possibility, especially with this new joker in charge.  My fear is that he is going to ramp up the tensions to get concessions, just like his father and grandfather, but not know how to ratchet back without losing face.  The ROK is not putting up with North Korean BS anymore, and will likely not back down either.  Powder keg lit.....
