I know the promotion information populated on the ERB and PPW says Eligible as long as they have all of the required requirements. Where can I also find this information? I have looked at the MILPER Message but it doesn’t really specify if they still need to attend a board.Where to find the information if a Board is required if already on MLI?2019-03-09T17:24:05-05:00SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member4434690<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If a Soldier is on the MLI, is he/she required to still go to the promotion Board? Messages and regulations don't list all the things you're not required to do because there would be too much to list.<br />In this case, the message states you need to attend a board while in the primary zone in order to gain promotable status, and that MLI gain promotable status automatically without attending a board.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 9 at 2019 6:02 PM2019-03-09T18:02:21-05:002019-03-09T18:02:21-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member4436155<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've run into this twice so long as this soldier has BLC and point they will get promoted. If the soldier has yet to got to BLC they will need to submit a packet to the school house and they will be out towards the front of the OML.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 10 at 2019 11:23 AM2019-03-10T11:23:57-04:002019-03-10T11:23:57-04:00SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member4438665<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I do not see anywhere that a unit would be restricted from sending a SM to the board even if they are already on MLI. The unit could have soldier of the year purposes, or simply developmental purposes for the soldier. I would welcome the board as a soldier, as I see it as another opportunity for personal growth.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 11 at 2019 10:31 AM2019-03-11T10:31:26-04:002019-03-11T10:31:26-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member4444739<div class="images-v2-count-1"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-312099"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image">

As soon as you meet the TIG/TIS requirements, you will automatically become promotable. I know from personal experience and that of other Soldiers in my unit.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 13 at 2019 9:39 AM2019-03-13T09:39:24-04:002019-03-13T09:39:24-04:002019-03-09T17:24:05-05:00
