Where to donate book collection? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/where-to-donate-book-collection

I have an extensive library of books that I would love to donate to an organization that can either give them to Vets/Military or sell them for cash for Vets/Military. There are lots of places that take clothes and cars and so on, but I haven't found anything really for books. All of my books are in like-new shape.

I have 59 Fiction books.
Authors include:
Tom Clancy
Dale Brown
Patrick Robinson
Clive Cussler
Larry Bond
Michael Crichton
Joel C. Rosenberg

I've also got an extensive library of non-fiction WWII books covering mostly the Pacific Campaign. All total, I have 202 non-fiction books with a large majority being military related (along with business and space books as well).

I've started going to e-books for everything now and would like to divest myself of the hardbacks.

Any thoughts on where a good place to contact would be? I'm in southern Minnesota. Thank you all! The Prtizker Military Museum and Library is an organization that accepts book libraries. http://www.pritzkermilitary.org/memberships/material-donation/

Donate a Book or Artifact | Pritzker Military Museum & Library | Chicago

LTC Stephen F. Any public library (school/university affiliated or not) will normally take book donations, but they do not give you a tax receipt (to my knowledge) and most books donated are turned around and placed in the library book sale box to raise funds for the library. At least, that's been my experience. To help Veterans specifically, you may wish to contact your local VA Medical Center, probably through the Center's Chaplain, to see if they have a reading room / library that takes donations. Hope this helps. Let me know what happens. Good luck and thank you for thinking of your fellow vets with your donation!
