I left my full time (technician position) in 2012 after my deployment (Afghanistan) to attend college. I received my B.S. in Elementary Education and am currently a middle school special education teacher. I’m not particularly enjoying my job and am looking to expand my education. I’ve been considering getting an MBA. I want to utilize the Tuition Assistance to cover all cost so that I can give my wife my remaining time on my GI Bill when she attends Veterinarian School. I’m hesitant to get a degree online because of how it might be perceived. I’ve checked out AMU and it has an online MBA program, but is it a good school/program? Would I be better off getting the degree from a school like WGU (the TA covers about 1/2 of the cost)? Are there other schools that I need to look into? Where is the best place to get an MBA with tuition assistance? 2020-04-09T09:06:25-04:00 2LT Private RallyPoint Member 5756419

I am currently a Platoon Leader in the National Guard with 10 years prior enlisted experience. Consider making sure to get an EXCELLENT score on the GMAT as it can get you scholarships that make a huge difference. I am about to graduate with my MBA from a top-50 (in the US) program on a full-tuition scholarship due to a high GMAT score. Response by SPC Elijah J. Many high-reputation schools offer a fully online MBA as a means to reach working adults who can't otherwise drop out of the workforce. The bigger issue is getting an MBA from an online university, or a brick-and-mortar university with a heavy online footprint. That's where the reputation effect could cause you problems when pursuing the types of jobs you wish to attain. I recommend finding a reputable, AACSB-accredited business school at a mainstream (i.e. widely known) university that offers both face-to-face and online versions of its MBA. That will lend much more credibility to your degree. Funding will almost always be awful for a Masters. It's 30 credits and our education system is out of control.
Post University has an online program that is pretty cheap I believe.
Arizona State - TA only covers like 1/4 to 1/3...ask me how I know.. But worth it from a really good program. Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 9 at 2020 1:19 PM 2020-04-09T13:19:02-04:00 2020-04-09T13:19:02-04:00 2020-04-09T09:06:25-04:00
