Your personal beliefs, and that of others has very little to do with whether or not that man or woman on your left or right flank is going to fight with you or for you. You just need to know, that you are part of a team fighting the same battles. Do you know for absolute that every Soldier you served with their sexual orientation? I bet not. As we all know that has been around longer than there has been a United States, much less a US Military.

Honestly, who cares? So if the Soldier likes, Guys or Girls and visa versa, big whoop. It is a non issue any more. The biggest thing you have to remember, is that all everyone deserves...is respect. Would you have these same issues, if you had a brother or sister that was gay? I know that is a hard thing to imagine and give an absolute answer too, but think about it...what would you do?

My field is Human Resources on an Army Base, and I see people all day everyday, and you know what? Though when it was in place, it was just another form of self-attrition to keep the numbers at a certain level. When it was removed, we had to find other ways to kick people out which included no longer giving waivers for some things. As an all volunteer military force, it's purely a numbers game. If you aren't disqualified for one thing, you'll be disqualified for something else.
