I'm quite happy with my work, and that makes it very easy to get up and go every day.

I think everyone has rather personal reasons for either being motivated or being unmotivated to get up and go every day. For me, the actual work environment (as in personnel interactions and professionalism) is a big indicator of how long I stay motivated, and the job itself being complimentary to my skill set.

I still propose that mental health days be instituted nationwide, because sometimes you just need a break.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 17 at 2015 6:24 AM2015-07-17T06:24:15-04:002015-07-17T06:24:15-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member822032

I get my rocks off seeing the people I've trained excel when put in the game.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 17 at 2015 6:54 AM2015-07-17T06:54:22-04:002015-07-17T06:54:22-04:00Capt Private RallyPoint Member822067

I entered the work force and then the military before I was 18. If you have it, then you will never have to ask this question. I'm self-motivated and I have disciplined myself to keep that level of energy in everything I take on. I love to work, I love to ride my motorcycle, I love to play music, I love to achieve, I love to take care of my family and daughters, and I just don't like to give up on anything I set out to do. Some people might say that I'm an exception to the rule, but I don't think so. It comes from within. It’s a desire that all of us have. You need to learn how to ignite it yourself. If you let defeat or disappointment get the best of you then I believe that has a direct effect on your attitude and those around you. I've failed at many things, marriage, my own businesses, and other projects, but I know how to brush it off and move forward and for me that is self-motivation. Brush the dust off, drum up that inner “eagle attitude” that you can soar, and get right back into the game.Response by COL Mikel J.
