I am looking for jobs on the civilian side or uniformed in the EW field. I graduated 29E basic last year and have spent the last year looking for jobs to get into. Apparently it's a small market. I'm really looking to stay in my local area (Tampa, Fl), so any leads or info would be outstanding. Thanks in advance for any help!!

SSG(P) (Join to see) all I can do is echo 1LT Sandy Annala. Her advice to go to LinkedIn and Old Crows is the best. After my first 20 years of pushing electronics I got into another career field, so I wish you the best of luck if that is your choice.

SSG(P) (Join to see) When I worked at CENTCOM in Tampa, we had a couple of Navy EW's that had gotten out. The buffed up with network security and IT certificates, and were hired by one of the contractors working there. I wish I remember the names and companies, but the brain cells aren't working like they used to. If I were you, head to the Personnel office and see if they have any leads that you can talk to. Hope it works out for you buddy!

Thanks for the insight. I needed up finding a different job, but if I'm ever in the market to try that route again I will heed your advice.

Private IT security will be a big deal. You may need to get a 2 or 4 year degree to augment your skill base, but network encryption might go well
