Has anyone else found any hidden gems (no pun intended) where this kind of equipment is available? Where can I find workout equipment during these harsh times? 2020-05-12T22:27:40-04:00 SPC(P) Brandon Jenkins 5882060

The global pandemic seems not only to have affected people. From what I've read on the City Data forums the few people who are selling stuff are selling at high prices. Apparently, before the quarantines went into effect, a lot of people started buy up workout equipment from the stores and online which created a shortage. If you can't find anything you may need to improvise and get a little creative. Do you live in a house/apartment or in the barracks? Most posts have kept the outdoor workout areas open (pullup bars, ropes, gym-in-a-box, etc). Just because you are used to living in the gym doesn't mean it's not possible to exercise without weights.
Try running, rucking, calisthenics...ya know stuff that you'll likely do as a Soldier. I don't see many applications of a decline bench or a flat-fly in combat. But you'll definitely run, ruck, pull-up, squat.

It's as if people forget that gyms/equipment didn't always exist throughout human history.... A folded fleece blanket makes for a decent mat. A playground ball is good for legs, abs, etc. Improvise and have fun Response by FN Jennifer Krueger made May 14 at 2020 3:05 AM 2020-05-14T03:05:02-04:00 2020-05-14T03:05:02-04:00 2020-05-12T22:27:40-04:00
