But say I wanted to replace my own breaks and do an oil change or even do a modification, where do you guys do it at? are there places that rent tools & lift & garage spaces? any help would be appreciated.Where can I find space to work on a POV as single soldier?2020-01-09T22:05:42-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member5430448<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am stationed at Fort Bliss as a single soldier so I live in the barracks & obviously don’t have a garage to work on my own car. I've always found it easier to take it to a shop off post...even AAFES has a repair shop, if you can get in. Always keep your receipts of the work done on your vehicle! ...and the correct word is "brakes," not 'breaks.'Response by SFC Christopher Taggart made Jan 10 at 2020 7:27 AM2020-01-10T07:27:35-05:002020-01-10T07:27:35-05:00CWO3 Private RallyPoint Member5432058<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>USMC MWR Auto Hobby Shop was really cheap. We took over when the Air Force moved. We had individual units never barracks. I know tools can be rented from Auto Zone/Discount Auto, and other like places. You might want to check storage companies that can accommodate cars for the purposes you seek. These places will not have lifts. But, you can use your own (4) jack stands. Use Google Search for your area. You'll be surprise what's available.Response by PFC Ray Aquila made Jan 10 at 2020 4:41 PM2020-01-10T16:41:03-05:002020-01-10T16:41:03-05:00MSG Allan Davis5433154<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ft Bliss has a soldiers only garage with tools provided complete with lifts contact MWR.Response by MSG Allan Davis made Jan 10 at 2020 9:06 PM2020-01-10T21:06:05-05:002020-01-10T21:06:05-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member5443761<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I believe it’s on Saturday’s at 0800 they have the “class” to be able to do so. It’s roughly 15-20 min and they just show you around the shop and give you the card showing proof you did it. Then you can rent out a slot and lift from there.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 14 at 2020 3:52 PM2020-01-14T15:52:42-05:002020-01-14T15:52:42-05:00SPC John Leite6595368<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is there an auto hobby shop there?
