Where can I find my stabilization end date?

Hello,

I returned to TPU status on 23 Jan 2015, after serving on 11 month orders for deployment to Afghanistan. I am now trying to volunteer for another deployment but I need to know when my stabilization is over. Is the date 1 year from REFRAD?

I would try contacting the Unit Readiness NCO/Officer. Been too many years since I was Army....one of the S Shops for your BN should also have that info....

I forget which way it goes: Unit stabilization is two years from REFRAD, individual stabilization is one year OR vice versa. You can volunteer to deploy within your stabilization period. The S-1 shop should be able to pull the current policy.

My stabilization was 2 years. It was written into my contract that way. The AFORGEN cycle for reserves is 4 years

The Reserves really haven't ever followed the Active rules for stabilization. There is an ADOS limit to 3 years out of every 4 meaning you can only have 1095 points then you need a one year period when you can't be on ADOS orders. The numbers change on COADOS orders, I have know many reservists that spent 8 years on continuous active duty orders in support of contingency operations. The hardest part is finding a deploying unit with a vacancy.

Not sure if anything changes but the one year stabalization was only there for your benefit, and you can volunteer out of it if you wanted to. It is not like stop loss which prevents a unit from losing any personnel prior to a deployment.

Sir, if you transferred into the RC with a stabilization you should have received a memo. If you are in the USAR it would be 2 yrs across the board effective the day after your REFRAD date. If you transferred into the ARNG it would depend on the state. But you are able to decline the stabilization at any time, but once you decline it, you are not able to get it back. Hope this helps. If you are in WA it is 2 yrs as well.
