Where can i find financial help to pay bills?

I need help. I am new to this site. The VA decided they over paid me in 2012 so they have taken the check i usually get until its paid back. I am having trouble getting bills paid and dont know where to turn. My car was repossessed my rents behind and my lights are about to get cut off. I just need to find some resources that will help me catch up until i get my check back. Thank you

Cpl Joseph Sparks I am trying to understand your situation. Are you 100% disabled, deemed unemployable by the VA? Is your Va compensation your only source of income? Are you currently unemployed and looking for work but haven't found a job yet? What was the nature of the compensation recoupment? How many months are you going to go without compensation? Once compensation resumes, will that cover your expenses or are you building debt?

Your profile is sparse, it may help people to know more about you as there are different programs for different eras of service that potentially apply to your situation. Also there are State and city based programs, no idea where to start looking for programs if we don't know where you are living.

Usually there are community resources, to help with rent, utilities and such just google it for your county. From what you have posted I believe you will qualify.
