First of all you need to locate a unit in the Area you want to transfer. I would speak to your readiness NCO for help.

A good resource is a National Guard Recruiter who can let you know what slots are needing to be filled.

You need to shop around but you are not a free agent yet they are plenty I bet, but if your commander do not authorize your release from the unit you are there until you get promoted to SGT SO DO NOT BURN YOUR BRIDGES
