Ladder......there isn't an elevator to take to the top? All kidding aside, this is a great question, and I would like to think that I'm somewhere in the middle of my ladder. There is alot of time and things to accomplish before I get to the top.

It won't be handed to you. You manage your own career. Don't stress and don't do drugs, pot or drink since, if you beome and addict, you will fail and ruin your career even if you are not in the military.

I was stressed about a homework assignment in my officer education but I am 2/3 of the way done and I do my last 2 weeks of Command and General Staff Officer Course in July. I can see the light. I may have a few nights with little sleep in the 2 weeks at Fort Dix but I know I will make it!

I find that success isn't reached at some end point, but all along life's route. The stairway to success is just a hallway moving up between floors. Every time I achieve in one area, I find a challenge toward something else. Presently, I may be on the 5th or 6th floor.

Well despite me considering myself a success already, I recently did just pick up a new challenge so I'm between the I want to do it and How do I do it steps. I just need to sit down with some of the senior NCOs and SNCOs so I can lay out a plan to implement. Then I'll be on the I'll try and I can do it. Hopefully I can be sitting on the top of the ladder again before the next deployment.
