When not on mission I was fortunate to have a fair amount of free time. Even on mission when we arrived at a FOB we had little to do unlike the 88Ms we escorted. That left me with the option of coming home weighing 300lbs or benching 300lbs.<br />I went over on the heavy side, and given all the temptations to eat like an animal I manged to lose 45lbs and keep it off ever since.<br /><br />So a little honesty from my brothers and sisters. Was it the gym or chow hall/KFC/Burger King/ Green Bean/ and so on......<br /><br />Sorry for those of you that deployed before all the amenities were added. When you were deployed, were you a gym rat or chow hound?2014-11-14T06:15:40-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member326368<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've only deployed once and when I did I performed convoy security. In those days though, weight was not a problem at all, so I could have eaten food, food, and more food ... and probably still been good to go.Response by CW5 Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 14 at 2014 7:38 AM2014-11-14T07:38:28-05:002014-11-14T07:38:28-05:00PFC Zanie Young326691<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Couldn't resist the Army chow...Response by PFC Zanie Young made Nov 14 at 2014 12:22 PM2014-11-14T12:22:23-05:002014-11-14T12:22:23-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member515905<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I ate healthily over my deployment but the weather and OpTempo cause me to lose weight while I was in AfghanistanResponse by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 6 at 2015 2:04 PM2015-03-06T14:04:50-05:002015-03-06T14:04:50-05:00Capt Private RallyPoint Member1045977<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>After three straight weeks weighing in at 150 the 1st shirt said "Porter we are going to put some weight on you.
