But they live two hours away. Ironic I am reading this and responding because I am currently spending the night because my father got his pacemaker replaced and is doing really well considering but limited for the next couple of weeks to month. Thinking about it some more, a lot of people followed me from back home.

I PCS’ed down to Florida in the middle of 2012 and my parents moved down about a year ago at the end of 2014 to retire for good. Around the time I PCS’ed down my parents were starting to figure out where they wanted to move to when my mother would retire a couple of years later. They saw I was down here in Florida, many of their friends live here a few months of the year/half the year and they changed their plans from other places down to Florida and at the time my half sister and her husband were stationed down in Florida too, and PCS’ed about a month ago. I ended up meeting a wonderful girl shortly after I PCS’ed down and we got married earlier this year and her family is down here too. Not to mention my dad’s best friend decided that he was going to buy a house down here since he is widowed and he bought one near my parents. Took him a while to sell his house but he’s down for good, and my aunt (mom’s sister) moved down too after a divorce and lives near my parents too.

It seems everyone I know lives down here! I retired and headed to Tulsa to attend Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology. Prior to the plan to move to Tulsa I had never stepped foot in OK. One year prior I did a route recon to verify if Tulsa was "doable" for us and 30-days out did another trip to buy a house.
We are gypsies at heart and haven't figured where our next move will be but so far the states "our people" are in aren't in the running.
