When you got married, whether during active duty or after, did you wear your military uniform?

For some reason when I was talking to some of my students they asked me this question. My dress blues still fit . I didn't but wish I did now anyways even though my bride didn't like the idea.

I wore a tux. I got married in the church 20 years after a mad dash to Reno.

My wife and I 30 years ago. Our son-in-law, his father (Vietnam River Rat) and I for our middle daughter's wedding 7-1/2 years ago.

Yes, I got married in my ASUs. At the request if my wife. Now, as for my first marriage, I wore a tux.

My first time yes I was a MARINE NCO at the time married by NAVY Chaplain and walked through crossed Sabers the whole thing my second time a good friend was the local district judge we got married in his office wearing jeans and sweatshirts first one lasted 2 years second one 35 years and still going strong

I was in the Army in the 1960s, CLASS Bs,
We were not allowed civilian clothes or Class As

I did not get married in my uniform, I was married in 1999 and did not join the military until 2010. I have however been to several weddings were I wore my Uniform, and also funerals as well.

Hehehe, Yep! I saved money on a tux rental. My wife's parents could not afford to pay anything for the wedding so we paid for just about everything. Besides dress whites for a Florida summer wedding were more comfortable than a black tux.

There seems to be a trend of second marriages amongst the respondents; obviously something to consider.
As to the question at hand, I was on active duty and wore my uniform on both occasions. Don't know that I would wear it now but since the last wedding was over 40 years ago I do intend to wear it for my next ceremony even though I expect to be prone for the occasion.
Seriously, weddings are an occasion where the bride is the center of attention, with discretion being the better part of valor, I would not wear the uniform if the bride objected.

Of course. Why rent a tux when the military gave you a free one?
