You can not advance to the next rank because you currently have no time in grade or time in serviceResponse by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 26 at 2020 2:31 PM2020-03-26T14:31:48-04:002020-03-26T14:31:48-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member5705171<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>basically instead of getting PFC with 6 months TIG and 12 months TIS, you'll get PFC with 12 months TIG and TIS. So technically you will spend more time as an E2 but you're skipping E1 so you'll make more money. So if you want to look at that as a "delay" you could. Although if you are really high speed and impress your CoC, you can get E3 with 2 months TIG and 6 months TIS with a waiver. I came in as an E3 and made E4 BTZ in 6 months with a waiver.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 26 at 2020 3:08 PM2020-03-26T15:08:01-04:002020-03-26T15:08:01-04:00SFC Ralph E Kelley5705632<div class="images-v2-count-1"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-439630"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image">

You are going in as an E-2 so realistically you will go through the entirety of your BCT and your AIT as 25Q and likely still have time to go before being in the window to get promoted to E-3. <br /><br />Don't sweat it.
