Outstanding people, great training and education, top-notch facilities and equipment have been brought together in a single purpose to create the world's premier Air Force. As you mention, every service has an air component. For them, it is an also-do...as in, we also do airpower. For the Air Force, it is our raison d'etre, our primary mission and focus. The Army rightfully prides itself on land warfare, as does the Navy in control of the sea. The Air Force is rightfully proud to have kept the skies blue (ie, not red) above our land and sea forces since its inception.
