When should I tell the Army that I have 2 teeth needing to be pulled, and being in need of some serious dental work? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/when-should-i-tell-the-army-that-i-have-2-teeth-needing-to-be-pulled-and-being-in-need-of-some-serious-dental-work <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m leaving for basic in two weeks and already went and passed meps for my physical screening through dep, I have 3 cavities that need filled (small ones) and two molars on the top of my mouth that need pulled. They didn’t look at my teeth at all at meps, is this something I can get disqualified for? And when should I inform them at reception or basic? I know that they have a dental exam at reception but will they work on them there and recycle me in basic? Or will they just work on them while I’m in basic? I asked my brother and he said they should work on them while in basic but where my teeth are in pretty bad shape they should work on them during my 22 week osut. I’m not scared about dentist exams at all just worried about me getting hyped up to join these past few years and don’t wanna get disqualified for something they can work on Tue, 09 Jun 2020 03:19:08 -0400 When should I tell the Army that I have 2 teeth needing to be pulled, and being in need of some serious dental work? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/when-should-i-tell-the-army-that-i-have-2-teeth-needing-to-be-pulled-and-being-in-need-of-some-serious-dental-work <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m leaving for basic in two weeks and already went and passed meps for my physical screening through dep, I have 3 cavities that need filled (small ones) and two molars on the top of my mouth that need pulled. If your teeth have waited this long you should be fine. However, if your milers. Eco me impacted or you get a different type infection in your mouth you must report to sick all. Only because of the coronavirus . But they usually do all your dental work in AIT ,but cornovirus messes everything up PVT Private RallyPoint Member Tue, 09 Jun 2020 14:13:13 -0400 2020-06-09T14:13:13-04:00 Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 9 at 2020 8:41 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/when-should-i-tell-the-army-that-i-have-2-teeth-needing-to-be-pulled-and-being-in-need-of-some-serious-dental-work?n=5988342&urlhash=5988342 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You have already received lots of good advice. Just want to add that when helping to deploy units I was told as long as a soldier had one set of opposing molars, the soldier was deplorable. Hang in there and if you start having pain go to sick call (or whatever they call it these days). If it is that important they will call you in, they will check all this stuff when you get to 30th AG at fort benning. Your vision, dental and so on. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. If you start having trouble and they hurt just tell your drill you need to go to dental.
