When you extend you can pick a unit that is closer to home. Whether they still do all this today, I don't know. I guess it depends on your record and how much they want to retain you. When I extended in 2014, I extended into a signal company as an E5 with a new MOS. It took a while for them to send me to school but I eventually became MOSQ for 25B. Research unit vacancies near your home, reach out to people in the unit and try to get a slot that you can be assigned to, extend and go to school. Don't let people discourage you. Get what you want. Best of luck to you. Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 10 at 2020 9:50 PM 2020-12-10T21:50:48-05:00 2020-12-10T21:50:48-05:00 2020-12-06T17:57:06-05:00
