We broadened this out to civics during our last deployment and then let the discussion take itself wherever. We typically were able to keep it civil and I hope increased interest in the process. @<a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="99180" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/99180-68w-healthcare-specialist-combat-medic-nh-arng-hq-new-hampshire-arng">SFC Private RallyPoint Member</a>Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 21 at 2016 10:17 PM2016-07-21T22:17:07-04:002016-07-21T22:17:07-04:00PO1 Tony Holland1739601<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>During my eight years in the Navy I only heard it in bootcamp.Response by PO1 Tony Holland made Jul 21 at 2016 11:54 PM2016-07-21T23:54:48-04:002016-07-21T23:54:48-04:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member1739705<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Supervisors of all ranks typically pushed it during voting season for me.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 22 at 2016 12:46 AM2016-07-22T00:46:39-04:002016-07-22T00:46:39-04:00PO3 David Fries1739867<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't remember hearing about voting once while I was in.Response by PO3 David Fries made Jul 22 at 2016 4:23 AM2016-07-22T04:23:04-04:002016-07-22T04:23:04-04:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member1740320<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Units are suppose to have a Voting Assistance Officer who briefs the Commands on how to Vote and the Importance of Voting, they also pass out literature about it.
