When I ETS do I use my GTC for moving expenses?

Not when I retired in 2013, clearing and canceling your GTC was part of the process at ETS.
Would be interested to hear it is otherwise.

I do not think you can but I would check with finance or someone. I know back in 2005, I had to pull guard duty at Ft. Jackson on a guy who was going to ETS and not sure what he did with his GTC but he ended up in the slammer for it.

No absolutely not. You are to turn your card in to your unit for deactivation. You can file for a travel advance for your DITY move to help cover expenses. Anything you charge on your card is not authorized so you will be liable to pay it all back without reimbursement.

No. Your GTC should be cut up or confiscated prior to getting out.

They should take it from you when you out process- no way to recoup if you over spend.
