When going Indef, who would you have reenlist you and where would you do it?

So I am about to Re-enlist for Indef In the next 2 weeks. I
have seen people do it in the Ocean, Air, and even on the CSM’s desk. I have
seen Platoon Leaders up to Brigade Commanders do the oath. Being at Fort Lee as a Transporter I have
several officers available for this. My Company Commander is one hell of an
officer, Leader and a man, but I have the COT (Chief of Transportation) right
down the street. I also have the CASCOM CG here and down the road at Fort Eustis I
have the TRADOC CG. SO my question is who would you have swear you in and where
would you do it?

I had my BTRY commander do mine. He was pushing for punishment for some B.S. complaint a PVT made while I was a D.S., so as sort of a "up yours" to him, I had him do my re-enlistment. It was fun to watch him tap-dance while trying to make up something nice to say when he in actuality he did not want to be there. It just proved my point that the investigation was absurd. The 1SG who was the main factor behind the investigation wouldn't even shake my hand... yep, it all proved my point that the investigation was more personal than professional.

If I were in your shoes I'd have someone I truly respect do it since this is your last opportunity. Sounds like you hold your company commander in high esteem. If I had it to do all over again I would have had my commander do it. Not only would it have been for my benefit but he would have been honored to do it as well. Unfortunately, when I went indef I was working at a NCO academy so there wasn't any officers around. That being said, my commandant, who was the most professional awesome leader I had ever worked with, was married to a MAJ so I had him do it.

As far as where, I can answer that. A good friend did that, and had me administer the oath (I was a CW2 at the time). We stood in front of the Constitution. The actual document at the National Archives. That was a memory I'll treasure for the rest of my life.
