Just my former professional opinion, but I’ve been retired since ‘00 so things have changed a bit! Don’t be afraid to call them. You might actually work with the NCOs making your assignment one day like I did! By also calling now, you might request if you can get a school enroute or post assignment well, and if a slot is open, guess what, free school without lost enlistment option... Play the game! But if your up for reenlistment that would be your best option.
