Seriously??? If he's a true vet then he should know better than to ask something like that on an open forum. SMH!!!

I would have asked him for what police force then contacted them for clarification. Regardless of the answer, I'd turn him in.

What kind of manuals? I agree I would decline as well. With that said though most of the MRAP manuals are COTs (commercial off the shelf) and can be found on numerous online websites.

I had to look up MRAP, being from a different era! If a police dept needs info of military nature, there are official channels to request such info. Vet should understand FOUO or classified documents are not for public dissemination, even to a police dept.

Would have done the same. For one google it I am sure there is a copy out there. For two if there is not there is a reason and I am not gonna be the one responsible for leaking something. Plus why on earth would LEO's need MRAP, if they have one it should have came with the manuals. Just saying. I have yet to understand why any local authority needs one.

Does this Veteran who asked not know of this thing called "Google"? It's a great online tool that allows you to search for answers to just about anything. ;-)

By the way, for the heck of it, I did a search for "MRAP Manual", the first result was this:

I agree that you needed to decline handing over any thing that might be considered sensitive but in this day in age is anything really classified anymore?

Military and police have different responsibilities and procedures. Active duty /retired / non-retired shouldn't be giving anything to anyone through un /or approved networks w/o proper clearances. Like most are saying, Google it. And let FBI / Homeland do their jobs.
