First put on a military uniform/clothing (Government owned)(born in a military hospital):
1956 - Eisenhower.

Ronald Reagan was president when I joined the Navy in 1985. I was put on TDRL (Temporary Disability Retired List) in 1989. George Bush was president then. When my TDRL status became a permanent Medical Retirement, my retirement certificate/thank-you-for-your-service certificate was signed by president William Clinton.

I first put on the uniform In Nov of 88. Basic training, I was there over the Thanksgiving 4 day weekend. Got uniforms 3 days later. Ronald Reagan Was the out going President, George HW Bush was the incoming. I got out in 1992 and came back in Nov of 1995, Clinton was President. Got out in 2003 GW Bush was President. Came back in Sept of 2010, Obummer was President. Now we have President Trump! so With that being said I have served under 6 different Commander and Chief's!

Lyndon Baines Johnson was the POTUS when I raised my right hand and took the oath! Orders from OCS said" Officers ultimate assignment Viet Nam on/about October 1968... It was 1969 before it happened and Nixon was the man!

When I put on the uniform, it was somebody with the last name of Carter. However! For the duration, I was proud to be on of President Reagan's Marines. I took off the uniform just 1 day before George H W Bush's inauguration.
