SPC James Foster1776203

My landlord has a 5th wheel sitting in my driveway in front of my house. He made a promise to move it out before I moved in. That was June 30th. My girlfriend is 100 percent disabled and i am 60 percent.

It is very difficult to have family over as many of them have disabilities as well. I have social problems so having visitors keeps me from doing something stupid or becoming depressed. What would you do if your landlord created a hazard on your property?2016-08-03T19:17:01-04:00SPC James Foster1776203

My landlord has a 5th wheel sitting in my driveway in front of my house. I have tried the nice approach by asking when he plans to remove the obstacle out of the driveway. Nothing but excuses. Lack of communication.

The only thing he could use against me is I let a friend move into my house before notifying him. However after getting to know this friend, he wants to add her to the lease.

Not only that he has repeatedly come over to repair his truck and his brothers car without the courtesy of notifying me.

Today he brings over his brothers car again not notifying me in advance, blocking my car in. I have family coming over and had i known, I would have asked him to come over another day.Response by SPC James Foster made Aug 3 at 2016 7:22 PM2016-08-03T19:22:37-04:002016-08-03T19:22:37-04:00SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member1776263

Seek legal guidanceResponse by SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 3 at 2016 7:40 PM2016-08-03T19:40:19-04:002016-08-03T19:40:19-04:00COL Jason Smallfield, PMP, CFM, CM1776352

A few thoughts/rhetorical questions (no need to post answer):
- Was the promise verbal or in writing?
- What exactly is your legal relationship (landlord/rentor) and what exactly does your rental agreement state as to your rights and responsibilities along with your landlords rights/responsibilities?
- What are the applicable laws in your town/county/state?
- What engagements have you had with your landlord to resolve the situation?
- If all the above fails, then what does a lawyer say about your legal position?Response by COL Jason Smallfield, PMP, CFM, CM made Aug 3 at 2016 8:15 PM2016-08-03T20:15:39-04:002016-08-03T20:15:39-04:002016-08-03T19:17:01-04:00
