President Obama will be recorder as the first Black-man that became president and faced strong opposition from a majority of white congressmen, that put their beliefs above the needs of the nation and created road blocks with the hopes that president Obama would only serve one term.

Well, assuming Obamacare gets repealed, it won't be healthcare. However he did turn around an economy that was in the throes of a serious recession. With him or not, the economy has rebounded and unemployment has gone down under his watch.

He will be revered by the reflective press, have a wonderful library and will be in the news from time to time. He will be remembered by adults in direct relation to their economic condition while he served. Unfortunately, being combative and partisan early on eliminated any chance of political unity. Watching a great opportunity to strengthen all of America squandered has been a sad experience.

I think he will be another Jimmy Carter. A good man who missed his calling by becoming president. The far left will remember him fondly, and the rest of us will simply remember him as the first black president.

If the 'news' is correct, one unmentioned legacy is that every appointee was the first 'this gender' or the first 'this color' combination. No mention of any qualifications they had over the others that were considered....if any.
If the qualifications are solid, the headlines and speeches should emphasize that and not appearance or who they choose to marry.

I think his only enduring legacy is that he broke the race barrier. All his other shenanigans aside that was no small achievement and that in itself is a pretty darn good thing to be remembered for.

Between his divisiveness and the election, all we have to do is read all the hate and vitriol between RP members, even those that were close friends . Hope things change, but the news and petulant, sometimes violent news reports, don't have much confidence it will change soon.

Okay, he broke the race barrier and encouraged racial subdivisons. He enacted several executive orders. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) raised insurance rates and expanded the IRS enforcement. He had not shown any respect with the military. Created questionable trade agreements. END.

He wasn't wrong.

The President has highlighted race over being an American. I firmly believe that race politics are complete and utter bullshit and is only used to divide the Civilians and pit them against each other. The Citizens of our Republic regardless of background need to be shown that whatever walk of life they come from that they can succeed with hard work and the proper mindset.

Not just our President has failed to do this, but so have our Representatives. It's easier to rule to weak when they fight each other.
