This is more like comparing an apple to a 1972 Cadillac. There is simply no comparison between the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, heir of the Austro-Hungarian throne, and one of Russia's many ambassadors. A World War will not break out, it won't even strain international relationships because Andrei Karlov is simply not that important of a character in the grand scheme of politics.
