SPC Margaret Higgins - I was from a rural location. I was extremely introverted, read voraciously, and stayed in the outdoors. I hiked probably close to 20-30 miles a week in the woods behind my house.

Busy. My wife insists I was planning my retirement when we met. As a teen, I worked after school and after track/cross country. So I guess I'm in the minority. It showed when I was working Wednesday night and the cops were going after the cruisers on Van Nuys Boulevard. I got pulled over in my VW Squareback, wearing hospital whites with a cooler of lab stuff I was delivering to another hospital because the machine broke where I worked. They pretty much laughed at me as I didn't fit the profile. "Next time kid, take Sepulveda".

As a Military Dependent I knew I would serve my country eventually. I choose college but never lost the desire to serve. Eventually, I left college and joined our Military.
