His nickname migrated to him from this goofy hand gesture we would do; the gesture being some kind of bastardized high five, whereby instead of the guy slapping downward he brings his fingers and thumb together to a point and taps it into the open palm of the other guy and state "Guido".<br /> <br />Weird, I know. <br /> <br />Not sure where the hell that came from or why the act was referred to as "Guido" (though we still do the Guido hand gesture), but for reasons I do not remember--if I ever knew--the term "Guido" became my buddy's nickname.Response by SGT Dave Tracy made Dec 13 at 2016 2:38 PM2016-12-13T14:38:46-05:002016-12-13T14:38:46-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member2156299<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>GSTD (Got Shit to Do)...the reason why "ain't nobody got time for that"Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 13 at 2016 3:33 PM2016-12-13T15:33:45-05:002016-12-13T15:33:45-05:00PO1 John Johnson2156494<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>On one of the CG Cutters I served on we had a tiny little female Ensign who took her job so seriously as to become a thorn in the side to all she came in contact with. After a promotion to LTJG, she became the head of the Deck Dept, where she unofficially was known as "Little Big Man". On the other hand, she was kinda like our little sister (again, unofficially) and she kinda grew on you after a while, and had anyone messed with her ashore, they would have immediately had 20-40 enlisted "big brothers" to deal with.Response by PO1 John Johnson made Dec 13 at 2016 5:07 PM2016-12-13T17:07:26-05:002016-12-13T17:07:26-05:00CAPT Kevin B.2159116<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>We're not the only one's who have them. I was eating lunch at the FML in Phnom Penh with some Brits. Somewhere along the conversation I said "G'Damn REMFs". The Brit light bird asked what that meant. After I told him, the table laughed and he said "You colonials have such a way with words. We call them TIPs; Tactically Insignificant Personnel". Still think our acronym is better suited....Response by CAPT Kevin B. made Dec 14 at 2016 1:36 PM2016-12-14T13:36:57-05:002016-12-14T13:36:57-05:002016-12-13T14:01:11-05:00
