Those Warriors returned home to no welcome, no parades and in too many cases, no help. Those American Warriors determined that NO FUTURE GENERATION of Brave American Warriors would ever be treated that way ever again.

We got our Parades, We got our Yellow Ribbons and the thanks of a Grateful Nation. Those Guys are still owed theirs. So from me, to all the Vietnam Vets, Welcome Home Brothers, it is 40 years in the coming, but Welcome Home none the less.

What Say You All?

AIRBORNE!
Fri, 01 May 2015 21:53:46 -0400 What we need to tell our Vietnam Veterans https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-we-need-to-tell-our-vietnam-veterans

Warriors, we owe a debt of gratitude to our Vietnam Veterans. YOU ALL are my heroes and a large part of the reason I served my country. All of you are owed a debt that will likely never be fully paid. You have my utmost respect for where you have been and what you have done, especially the way you were treated upon returning or being seen in public in uniform, with a short haircut, military length, was and in my opinion is still reprehensible.

The soldiers who return today are cheerfully greeted patted on the back and told thank you. While you veterans were spit upon and had insults hurled at you. NONE of the Vietnam vets wanted to go to war, but because you were all ordered to do so, you went. So speaking only for myself Thank you and welcome home. May God protect you and give you peace.

C. I say hello to all the veterans and have a soft spot for the WWII and Vietnam veterans. I convinced a Vietnam reunion organizer to go on a cruise, that America is ready for you now.
