I had an awesome station commander who looked out for us and made work enjoyable. I just reclassed to return to recruiting. The 11B life was just not for me anymore after 11 years. I enjoyed going home to my family every night on recruiting. It has it's perks but everyone's experiences can differ. Here to answer any questions if you have them.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 4 at 2019 12:10 PM2019-02-04T12:10:50-05:002019-02-04T12:10:50-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member4341501<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It really depends enormously on where you are. I was managing somewhere around a dozen recruits, as a PFC in my state guard unit. Getting them to drill, linking up with RSP from other units... I was putting in dozens of hours every week (that I was not paid for) trying to chase high schoolers and college students down and get them to fill out paperwork. It was good for my career though, I was awarded the WNY Soldier of the Year Award, and the NYS Recruiting medal with a device. Is is stressful? You bet. But a short (successful) stint doing it looks very good in both the civilian and military realms.Response by SPC Angela Burnham made Feb 5 at 2019 10:52 AM2019-02-05T10:52:37-05:002019-02-05T10:52:37-05:002019-02-04T12:05:10-05:00
