Looking through my favorites four strike me as the cream of the crop:

GC8356: Rabbit Bay Pirate Treasure
Finding this one was a several hour adventure with good friends. It is on an island so the find was combined with some great boating good times with buddies, and a deserted island for the final.

GC1D5YB: Jungle Bungalow
Number 1000 for me so it is a significant milestone. Also, the cache container is fantastic. I won't say more to avoid spoiling it for anyone else searching.

GC466D7 The lagoon - Tour D
An hour long kayak ride from Palawan island Philippines to a smaller island followed by a jungle trail to a secluded lagoon. One of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

GC7E7: Deer Flat (Milford, Southland)
An "old" cache, at a degree confluence. It required wading a river to get to and took two trips to make the find. I like a cache that is a challenge.

If I really had to, I guess I would say the first one in my list, GC8356, takes the number one slot for me. I cached 6 different types just a week or so ago.
And I only had to drive about 45 miles from my home location near Rochester, NY. You shake and twist this thing until the key drops out. Best part: good arm work out. Worst part: Make you look like you're using a "shake weight".

A SilverFox Challenge Cache?

Solve the mystery and then use a smartphone or GPS device to navigate to the solution coordinates. First placed May 26, 2000.
And the original log book is still in it. You park off a gravel road at the top of the hill, take a walk across a clearing then into the woods. The entire trail is nice and well kept. At first it's a gently winding and dipping walk, then it gets interesting. At some points I'd estimate 45 degree slope.
Getting to the cache is fairly easy, 15-20 minutes tops. Then you have to go back up. Whew, took about an hour with the breathing breaks.

The Spot

Use a smartphone or GPS device to navigate to the provided coordinates.
