After my research, the information I've gathered is rather vague. I'm not sure what types of qualifications I would need as an enlisted soldier. I only see schools for officers and I'm not eligible to become an officer due to my age. If anyone could shed some light on this matter it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

PFC JonesWhat types of qualifications would I need as an enlisted soldier to reclassify to Space Operations?2019-09-18T07:39:42-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member5035337

To whoever can help me out,

I'm very interested in the Army's space program and I want to re-class to a space operations unit. It is Space Enabler. If you join a Space unit you’ll be required to attend Army Space Cadre Basic Course. It’s 2 weeks long consisting of 2 phases. After 2 years in your space billet you’ll get Space wings.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 18 at 2019 10:19 AM2019-09-18T10:19:57-04:002019-09-18T10:19:57-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member5035939

Probably the easiest way to get into space operations as an Enlisted Soldier would be on the air defense artillery side. Being a 91D it would be an easy reclass for you to get as long as you meet the line score prerequisitesResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 18 at 2019 10:41 AM2019-09-18T10:41:54-04:002019-09-18T10:41:54-04:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member5066683

I donno what these other guys are advising.
We (Functional Area 40 - Space Operations) are not YET a full branch. There is no MOS (yet) for Enlisted Space Operations. There is no way for you (yet, today) to "reclass" into this career field.

However, there are Units that do Space operations which have Enlisted Soldiers doing Space Operations. 12, 13, 25, 35 series MOSs are all utilized in the 1st Space Brigade & 1st Space Battalion.

I can provide more details if necessary.
