What types of posts, questions, and links, most interest you?

I have thought about asking this question since RP changed their format to Questions, Links, Updates. What types of each are most intetesting to you, and how much information do you want? I've posted many Linked articles. Some are looked at more than others. What can I post or link that you would enjoy reading? For example: Serious, funny, political, current events, history past and present, etc.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member - Here's my personal favorites (not in any order):
1.) Political (Domestic & Foreign Policy) - Enjoy reading different perspectives & opinions. It's also great to see when those with differing positions are able to debate with respect & decorum.
2.) Historical - Great to see the variety of reflections.
3.) Humorous - Katy bar the door! RP members come up with some very funny stuff.
4.) Leadership - Especially those seeking advice to address their particular issue. Sometimes interesting to read those who confess. Eye-opening, all the way around. Always good to see the more seasoned members chime in, offering (usually) sage direction.

All of the above! Personal favorites include:

1) Satire/Humor/Comedy. I love to laugh. I love to laugh when you can't help but laugh.
2) Leadership, especially challenges. Critical thinking exercises I'm very fond of.
3) Current events. There's so much out there. It's hard to see it all, and it's great to have RP as an additional feed.

I love history, I read a lot! I also enjoy taking the time and to listen to the stories from vets and those serving. I really find that fascinating! I also enjoy opera, classical music and the occasional glass of wine or beer. I know I am boring lol

SGT Private RallyPoint Member I enjoy Military Discussions, I stick to Questions since that's what I'm used to here on RP. Also, I just reopened my FB 3 weeks ago and like to keep my military discussions, opinions and contacts here and my personal life in FB.

Oh, and Cars, specs, numbers, horse power, 0-60mph times, versions, models, etc.

Generally speaking, in social media I view most political posts as inconsequential. So many people feel that they have it all figured out, but upon further questioning it comes out that their stated solution(s) is/are based on half truths at best and/or incorrect assumptions. When confronted with contradictory information, these same people will often shut down and engage in partisan attacks (e.g. "You're just a bleeding heart liberal" or "You conservatives..."). This ultimately ends any hope of actual discoure.

Here at RP, I would rather read, and discuss, military life (a trip down memory lane for me) or lighter topics such as reading, sports, music, etc.

I really enjoy the leadership posts or anything scenario based. It amazes me to see so many different people offer their perspective, advice, and help to somebody they don't even know.

Seriously, though...
1. New tech and systems discussions.
2. "What do you think about ... [insert current event here - except anything AR-670-1]." (Been out too long. Sorry.)
3. The posts where people who may think differently than I do want to have a logical and rational discussion. Then I go in and TROLL all over 'em with irrelevant "Blame Obama" responses. (Just kidding. Not everything is Obama's fault. But everything bad that happened anywhere in the whole universe after January 20th 2009 - probably gonna be his fault, though.)

I really enjoy the "advice" and "opinion" posts. Not the "what do you think of this article" kind of posts, but the "Here's my opinion, now what do you think" ones. I like to think that I am old for my age, and I have been told before that I have wisdom beyond my years (if you want to know HOW, you'll have to inbox me, because I'm not putting any of that out there). So being given the chance to actually share that (seeing as I cannot do so at work, since I'm a lower enlisted in TRADOC and no one listens to you if you aren't NCO or above here) is something that I simply cannot pass up. I have helped people through answering their questions, or giving my input before. The way I see it, if I help even ONE person who is having a rough time, then I can safely say I have done my job, and the Cosmos are far better for it.
