Gardening, whether on a balcony or in a back yard, is an activity that challenges deeply. To be a gardener requires one to become optimistic, and to have a view into a future when the plants will be in bloom, or vegetables will be harvestable. Aikido has been a part of my mental fitness regime for many years as well. All kinds of subjects. Both sides of contrivercial subjects, then form my own opinion. I still work part time, so I still interface with the general public. I'm very strong on nutrition, I have a regiment of herbs, minerals, & vitamins that I take on a daily basis. I do watch TV though...we all do, but I am selective. I volunteer, go to the "Y", avid shooter, etc. I get bored...and "antsy" if I sit and do nothing.
