Key your mouth shut. Keep your eyes and ears open. Pay attention. Do as you're told as quickly (and as safely) as possible.

It’s different now than when I went, but mind your Ps and Qs. Don’t try to outsmart a DS...you will fail. Don’t go to sick call.... even if you feel like you have to go. Make the drill sergeants send you so that you don’t get a reputation as a sick call ranger.

Don't take anything personally, know that you'd really have to screw up to fail (I think we had around 8 or so people in the entire company fail back in '07. That was when the surge was going on and they took any human who could pull a trigger abd handed out waivers like candy), embrace the suck, it will end, and try to enjoy the cool "Hooah!" stuff. Looking back, I'd of had a lot more fun if I took it more relaxed.

Literally just finished osut there keep your mouth shut unless spoken to, sound the fuck off, and avoid sick call at all cost last thing you want is to go on profile and miss training

pay attention to what you are taught, always take notes when you can, especially when handling the explosives with the priming and wiring and keep them seperated until used, lives of others depend in your squad when you get to your unit will depend on it.
