What the hell is the ACLU thinking, they are way out of line!

You with me, you gotta help me make this make sense or is it a failure of the ACLU?

The ACLU sued for (and won) the release of damning photos of actions taken during interrogations of prisoners. While those responsible for the misconduct need to be (and many have been) held accountable for their actions.

Does the ACLU mission statement (https://www.aclu.org/about-aclu): preserving "the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country" mean the ACLU sues to get photos released that will cause out service members and citizens abroad to become more of a target? And, if so, does the release of the photos make the actions of abuse right for those that were wronged?

So, what does the ACLU mean and is their mission statement to look out for interest of Americans civil liberties versus those outside the country? Does this win actually violate their own mission statement?

Should the pictures be released?

It is very rare that the ACLU fights for anything that seems even close to legitimate (anymore), usually it looks like they are show-boating or pandering to a crowd that seems to have less than honorable intentions when it comes to America.

The ACLU is not really concerned about the civil liberties of Americans any longer. They are an organization struggling for relevance and pandering to those on the left with deep pockets.

I don't care if the photo's are released or not. If we are worried about upsetting our enemies and causing them to become more brutal, I think it is too late. They are slaughetering people in wholesale quantities, they are brutally murdering those that do not believe the same religion they do, filming it and release it for public consumption. They have sized more territory than they have ever had and we watch and wait for what, I have no idea.

This is about the 10th time the Abu Graib situation has bubbled up on us and each time we hear of the whirlwind it will create. We might as well release them and be done with it once and for all. Abu Graib is child's play compared to what happens in that region every day.
