I had the same issue, well kind of. I got out of the Marines March 2016 and hopped to the Army October 2017... it is a great branch with a lot of opportunity for advancement. What I will tell (not totally sure) is that if you reach your 5 year mark of break in service you would have to go to basic, but if you’re at 4 you should be good bro.
