In early 2003 Drew Carey came to the Sunni Triangle before they realized how bad it was. I missed out since I was on the Syrian border. He was one of the very first to visit I believe.

USO Show staring Kelli Pickler and Joan Jett....Got to see this one and had an AWESOME time

USO Show staring Toby Keith...........The day he was to play on COB Basra I was sent out to a small base camp for a few days for a mission. The day I left that small base camp, Toby Keith was scheduled to play that same base camp.

USO Show staring Trace Adkins..........missed that one because the plane that was supposed to bring him from Kuwait, forgot to get him loaded onto the plane beforehand.

Kid Rock and Carlos Mencia put on a really good concert. Definitely my favorite.

We also had a visit from the Falcon Cheerleaders, which was quite enjoyable and entertaining.

Finally we had one from the Harlem Globetrotters. They were eating chow with us complaining that they didn't want to be there and were only there because the coach wouldn't let them play in the games if they didn't participate. Needless to say, most of us didn't bother to go watch their show and were happy to see them leave.

Few up & coming country singers, they looked really nice in those daisy's, and a ton of WWF wrestlers, that was fun. Oh and the comedy group in Taji, picked on the wrong female in the audience. A LTC she was not too happy about it.

Buz Aldren. Maybe he's not a celebrity, but he is an American hero and a hell of a supporter of our military. He made sure to shake every single one of our Airmen's hands, and treated everyone like he thought they were the most important part of the mission.
