Due to health issues, can’t do it anymore. Still go to my Legion on these special days. And many of my friends are gone. It hurts.

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My favorite was at a McDonald&#39;s in Redmond oregon. On Veterans Day in the evening I stopped to ask what their veterans recognition item was. The young manager said I&#39;m sorry we don&#39;t do anything for Veterans Day. Penny asked me some questions about it. Then he said the meal is on me whatever you want. Some time later someone said well that gentleman just gave you his meal allowance. I don&#39;t really care where it came from, other than his heart. Is still surprises me that the battling back and forth largest producer of food probably around the world, at least possibly in america, does not have any official recognition on Veterans day. Caveat. At least 7 or 8 years ago they did not.
