The VA part is also something that needs improvement as far as the claim process etc and what to realistically expect. I've posted on this before, I've thought all branches should take a more individual approach for someone retiring or separating that is over 6 months of time from their release, the way I look at it is the Government spent money to train you and condition you to be military they should do the same to make you a civilian.
