Typhoon party, Camp Hansen, Okinawa. Making and flying kites. Using two broomsticks, bed sheets, and a skateboard to make a rather effective wind powered vehicle.

During weapons cleaning, a Private literally stripped the bluing off his M4. He said the weapon was dirty and it literally was down to the silver underneath.. It was all shiny to say the least.

I see things haven't changed in berthing...lol On one ship we had the "crazy crapper", liked to leave his "calling card" behind in the showers. We suspected it was a disgruntled (aren't they all) Deck Seaman.

Another time had two Deck Seamen start fighting because one took the other's "love sock".

There was never a dull moment in Deck Division berthing.

When people try to run on a treadmill while on rough seas it is hilarious. I experience tbis during green hours at the gym. Not only the Marines in the treadmill fell but they attempted to run on the same treadmill under the same conditions at least three more times. Ill have to call that "determination". Also when people forget to put on the strap that secures them into their coffin racks and they end up falling from their beds. All you hear is the sound of a big object hitting the ground or the famous words "Oh sh.." on the way down.

During inspection, LT gave us a hit bc our berth didn't "smell like lilacs", then gave the showers a hit bc it "smelled like lilacs, which means there MUST be pink mold somewhere".. to be clear, there was no mold.. yeah, he was one of "those" LTs..
