For example I was a 51B2P Carpentry/Masonry Specialist with parachutist SQI , First three are your MOS, fourth is your skill level and 5th is your SQI. Instead an identifier of ā€œPā€ is added to your MOS. So an airborne light infantryman who is a private would be an 11B1P. There is a Skill Identifier for being Airborne. But If you are in the 82nd you really want the "V" Identifier. It denotes that you are Airborne and Ranger Qualified.
