What's the likelihood of receiving constructive credit based on military/ civilian experience in place of LG-CCC (RC)? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-s-the-likelihood-of-receiving-constructive-credit-based-on-military-civilian-experience-in-place-of-lg-ccc-rc

I've been deployed twice as a 1st Lieutenant (Platoon Leader and J4) and worked in supply chain since 2017. I've completed the distance learning Phase 1 part of CCC-RC. I read it's possible via AR 350-1 paragraph 3-20. Just wondering how often it happens for the non medical/ judicial branches. Bottom line is that after almost a year of back and forth it came down to going item by item and showing that the course encompassed all of the TLOs for the TRADOC school in order for them to grant equivalency.

Granted, this was to get a course approved so that any who attended would get the same credit as if they went to a TRADOC school of the same type, but the process would be the same - you must show that everything you did met everything they required.

Normally the constructive credit is used for people that do branch or component transfers where they have already received the same training elsewhere.

I'll see if I can dig up the TLOs for the CCC (no luck so far), but that's what you'll have to bounce your request against.

So, to your base question about the likelihood? It all depends on how closely you can match up items in column A (your past experience) with items in column B (the course TLOs).

However, keep in mind that MANY, MANY junior officers are in your position (deployment experience, working in their field at a higher leadership level, etc). That is to be expected going in at your MEL3 course. The TLOs you'll have to meet are showing higher level leadership and admin proficiencies you would expect of a senior company grade officer.
