A good cross training shoe is ideal, especially if you have a regimen that is similar to the current trend of cross-fit style workouts or mixtures of high intensity workouts with weight training. Get a different, light weight running shoe for running and only for running. Nowadays, there seems to be this trend of squatting barefoot. Not sure where that came from, or why.
