Have - hopefully not had in a long, long time. Fishing - clears the mind of all the clutter and all you have to worry about is cast and reel, cast and reel...something very therapeutic about that for me.

I have had several, hunting, fishing, making glass beads from stained glass, helping wife out in her business making masks and fans, watching M.A.S.H. 4077, the list goes on.

I like fishing a lot in general it is calming and fun, the Gulf of Mexico is fantastic for it.

Growing up it was all things competitive sports. Now as I get older, I still love sports but get that feel as a coach now instead of a player.

However, over the last year I have loved fishing and hunting. I mostly fish small rivers and go deer hunting. It is amazing how relaxing these activities can be. I do golf a lot as well.

Motorcycles and Performance cars!
There is nothing like enhancing performance and power and then being able to feel and see the difference you made!

I also like shooting, its fun with the AR15 to plink but shooting trap with the 12 gauge is cheaper and I think even more fun!!

I love to shoot and do all things firearms related. I use the reloading bench as my refuge from the rest of the world so that I can concentrate on only one thing. It is mandatory that I do that otherwise I could damage my firearms or worse. So, in short, firearms are my hobby, and just like almost every other hobby out there, it is expensive.

I enjoy fishing, target shooting, and metal detecting. I haven't been metal detecting in almost 3 years though and don't have any real reason why. It would be difficult for me to pick the one I enjoy the most though because I get an equal amount of satisfaction from all 3.

I collect old coins since I was about 10. I collect Minnesota Vikings player autographs. I have always had a love of fast cars albeit gas prices and cost has put that aside. Still buy more performance type cars that are more practical (currently a wrx Subaru). I played pool and darts for many years. Won some tournaments in both.

Sailing. I sailed everything from cat boats (single masted - single sail) dingys to tall ships (topsail schooners, brigs, and barks). I came to live the poem - "Sometimes I must go down to the sea, The stormy sea and sky. And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to sail her by."

The destination was a distant second to the journey.

Of all the skills I learned and practiced, navigation was my favorite. It served me well when I enlisted in the Army. I well remember a class in land navigation at which the instructor asked "How many points do you need to observe to accurately determine your position?" He was surprised when I answered one and went on to prove I could do it by demonstrating the process known as a "Running Fix" (aka "Doubling on the bow"). I was one of the few lieutenants you could trust with a compass and a map.

Sadly I developed Meniere's Disease which afflicts the sense of balance and it is no longer safe for me to walk a deck let along climb a mast. Thus I am left to my memories, ones that will one day help me craft new stories (once I finish my current series based on an Army Ranger who served in Korea and later spied behind the Iron Curtain and in Cuba).

My best hobby has a double edged, art. I love to draw paint design bilboards, and posters things like that. It's so relaxing when I can set down and draw out the anger, bad dreams or bring a smile to someone's face. In high school I took so many wards in college art shows just doing my thing. I hate dealing with money when people wanted to buy the stuff. For some reason it took the joy out of it for me? But the money I did make I made a lot of young ones happy with it so in a way it evened out. Hope to get back into it soon, been out of it for a while and have a few tattoo ideas I need to get done for some more people. I believe everyone has the ability to draw and love teaching (if you want to call it that) young ones and special needs personal to draw. Their minds are so open and they never say, "I can't"...

I have done many things in my life, scuba diving, running, skydiving, white water rafting, Bicycling, Motorcycling, international pocket bike racing, Motocross racing, car racing, building cars, Photography, Drawing, car model building, Hiking, camping, fishing, marksmanship (just for pleasure after leaving the service). Now I only dream of doing half of these so I stick mostly to building model cars.

Fishing. My godparents own a ranch with a small lake in Texas. The average bass is 2 lbs. and I can catch 30 in a day. That was a lot of fun.

My wife and I did SCUBA diving for a few years. That was a lot of fun but its kind of expensive. We don't live anywhere near the warm Gulf of Mexico. The next best is motorcycle riding. I have had several bikes over the years.

Honestly?....It was a thing called date night where, my ex wife and I always did something different on Saturday night, movies, dinner,walks on the beach, anything that would make us smile, it became a Hobby and I dare say, I hope she is still practicing OUR little thing with her Husband. I guess My PTSD was too much to handle for her. I am alone now.
