It is like being a male. What you need to know is that there are few women, it is a growing field. It is a physically demanding job requiring great physical and strength insurance. In Garrison life is as with every other unit with vehicle, PT, chow, Motor pool, detail, and hopefully online college at night. In the field, you may or may not see a shower for days, weeks on end, other than expedient of course. Sleep is limited as the boom boom boom can go on all night. You have to lift projectiles and powder weighing up to 100lb. You have to perform security, roving and stationary, you will eat field rations or MRE’s. If you have a good section chief he or she will find a way to integrate fitness into your daily routine.

Unless you are built like Arnold it will hurt! All crew starts as ammo prep/loaders normally- that means lifting at least 105mm shells, quickly and efficiently- pray its not 155mm
