As I was doing my initial counseling I got a surprise, one of the guys was shocked, he said he'd never received any kind of counseling from the prior Squad leader. At least I got started on the right foot. The next year my squad came in first in our squad competition, all the guys received an AAM which was well deserved. It's the one medal I really cherish.Response by SGM Mikel Dawson made Oct 22 at 2015 10:47 AM2015-10-22T10:47:05-04:002015-10-22T10:47:05-04:00SGT Patrick Reno1057948<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Became an Infantry squad leader when I was a CPL. in 1986, 3rd BN. 7th Infantry at Ft.
